You can also search for classes on the Internet. These dance classes are designed for beginners and tourists, so they are perfect for travelers who only have time to take one class.
If you simply want to shake what your mama gave you, Cancun nightlife gives you lots of opportunity to do so. Many bars and clubs have large dance floors and live bands or DJs to get people moving. You can choose from a bar that plays traditional Mexican music or one that simply spins records that are popular worldwide. Some clubs have dance contests, so call ahead to see if this is something available were you will be visiting.
Finally, you can purchase tickets to see a traditional Mexican folk ballet. These shows give you a chance to experience a piece of Mexican culture, and the shows are quite spectacular, with talented dancers, difficult dance moves, and dazzling costumes. Meals accompany most shows, and you may be able to meet and greet the dancers and other performers after the show is over, so you can make a night of it. Ticket prices are usually reasonable for the show and buffet style dinner, so this is a good option for families as well.
Whatever kind of dancing you enjoy, Cancun can provide you with your dancing needs. From classes to clubs to ballet shows, Cancun has a rich beat that you cannot ignore. Even if you do not know how to dance, it is a great time to learn or to appreciate others with real dance talent. Research all of your dance options in Cancun before you leave the United States so that you can choose how to best spend your time while on your fun and relaxing Cancun vacation.
